Kacem Zoughari: Anniversary Seminar
Celebrating Two Decades of Teaching in the UK
This summer, Bujinkan Seijitsu Dojo will host a landmark event for martial artists: a three-day seminar with the esteemed Dr. Kacem Zoughari, marking the 20th anniversary of him teaching in the UK. The event, scheduled for July 19-21, will be an opportunity for Bujinkan practitioners to delve deep into Hatsumi-Ha Taijutsu and Kenjutsu.
A Legacy of Learning and Teaching
Dr. Kacem Zoughari is a renowned researcher and practitioner of Japanese martial arts, particularly ninjutsu. Born in Paris, France, he began his martial arts journey as a teenager, quickly immersing himself in the rich traditions of Japan. Over the years, he has studied under some of the most respected martial artists in Japan, including personal tutelage from Hatsumi Masaaki Soke and Ishizuka Tetsuji Soke.
His deep commitment to martial arts and Japanese history is reflected in his extensive academic and practical experience. Dr. Zoughari holds a Ph.D. in Japanese History and Culture from INALCO in Paris and has authored numerous articles and books on the subject. His research and teachings have taken him around the world, making him a highly sought-after instructor for both academic and practical training.
Unveiling Hatsumi-Ha Taijutsu
The seminar will introduce participants to Hatsumi-Ha Taijutsu. Additionally, the seminar will cover Kenjutsu - the art of Japanese swordsmanship, offering a comprehensive training experience for all attendees.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in intensive training sessions spread across three days. The event will kick off with an evening class on Friday from 7-9pm, priced at £20. The weekend sessions on Saturday and Sunday will run from 10am to 4pm, with individual days priced at £60 and a two-day package available for £110. Training will take place at Mumford Village Hall.

Dr. Kacem Zoughari: A Respected Authority
Dr. Zoughari's expertise is backed by decades of rigorous training and scholarly research. He has served as a personal translator for Hatsumi Soke, collaborated with the Quest Video Company, and is a member of the Nihon Budo Gakkai. His contributions to the field of martial arts extend beyond practice; he has lectured at prestigious institutions worldwide, including the University of Cambridge, Georgetown University, and the Nihon Budokan Kyokai.
